What's all this, then? Well, it's pretty simple, I'm one of the fortunate few that make my living doing something I love to do. I draw funny stuff, and I've been doing it professionally for a wide range of clients since I graduated with a BFA from Kent State University in 1982. I started out at a design and illustration studio (the kind you don't see too much nowadays), learned the ropes, worked hard at my craft, and then became a freelance illustrator in 1991.
Those clients include: Cedar Fair, Progressive Insurance Corp, Oxford University Press, American Greeting Corp, Cambridge University Press, Club Jr. Magazine, Girl's Life Magazine, and Cleveland Magazine as well as a wide variety of advertising, design and publishing clients too numerous to mention (but I would be more than happy to mention them should you desire such information).
While I now specialize in illustrated map art and editorial work, over the years I've pretty much done it all: comps, logo art, advertising art, textbooks, comic books & caricature. I am fast, dependable and client-friendly, and I would love the opportunity to quote on your next assignment. Just click on the handy Contact Kevin tab above, and let's get busy (In the professional sense, that is).
